Everyone is Arlington is talking about Lash Lift. Do you have lashes that are stubborn, short, straight, and fall downward over your eyes? Even if you try all the highest-rated eyelash curlers on the market and no matter how much you try to train them to stay up, your lashes inevitably drop after a single coat of mascara. You are not the only one. Luckily, lash lift is the answer to your problems. This service is available to anyone who wants to get long-lasting results but is too afraid of getting extensions. Lash Lift is a treatment that curls your natural lashes and lifts them up to give you visibly fuller and longer-looking lashes.
How should I prepare for my lash lift appointments?
It is recommended that you wash your eyes and wear no eye makeup to your appointment. Clean lashes make the appointment go more smoothly. We will ensure to cleanse your lashes either way before we begin the procedure. If you are looking for a more dramatic result, then applying something like a lash serum every night to grow your lashes as long as possible is a great option. You can start doing this about a month before your appointment.
Can I customize my results with Lash Lift?
The answer to this question is YES! Before we begin the procedure the first step will be to consult with your lash artist. She will ask you questions like whether you wear mascara everyday or not? Or whether you like your lash long and high or fanned out? This is done just to get a sense of your lash goals and style. After that, based on your answers, the lash artist will pick a curl size for your eye shape.
What does the procedure look like?
You may have seen videos and pictures of this procedure. Don’t worry, no need to be scared. Think of this as an hour-long nap. YOU get to relax while the lash artist does all the work. After cleansing your lashes and the lash artist will proceed to separate your bottom lashes from your top. She will then use a silicone shield that gets stuck on the skin using a gentle adhesive which is similar to the glue used to apply false lashes. This adhesive is applied on top of the shield as well. The lash artist will then proceed to comb your lashes up to take the shape. She will then apply an eye-safe perming solution to your lashes.
This perm solution acts as a softener. It goes in and softens the bond of your hair to make it moldable. The perm solution is made up of organic compounds thioglycolic acid and emacol for breaking down and softening the lash to adapt its shape.
From then the time the lash artist leaves this solution on depends on your hair type. It is good to let your lash artist know if you have a hard time curling your hair during the lash lifting procedure. Typically the solution is left on for about 12 minutes or longer depending from person to person. After this, the technician will remove the perm lotion and a setting solution and oil are applied.
How long does Lash Lift last?
Lash lift lasts for six to eight weeks! Typically, customers come in for touch-ups around that time mark.
